Trying to find a body lift for a 1990 f250 4x4 7.3idi.... Any advice would be helpful, I can't find any aftermarket brackets for lowering the radiator.
Hey. I still have the fitting that goes into the lower tank if anyone needs it, I'm not going to run it. The orifice is clear and its in good shape, i don't want anything for it. Scroll up and you can see pics of it.
Found out that heater hose comes directly off the block T's and sends a very small amount of warm water to the bottom of the radiator to heat the tranny fluid. Saves on a little wear in extremely cold environments.
Ok, found out what its for, that hose comes off the engine side of the system, it warms up the lower tank which warms up the transmission fluid faster. Makes sense now.
holy crap, guess I hit a wrong button, sorry about all the doubles. Thats the fitting that came out of the old radiator, and the last pic of the old radiator itself.
that new radiator is awesome though! It runs so cool now I'm gonna have to change the thermostat. Especially with the colder weather upon us. Not that it gets that cold in Western Washington.
Yeah, I'm confused about this one, I used to be a mechanic years ago and have never ran across something like this, thanks for the support though! Waiting to see if anyone else has some input, I bought the factory repair manuals and they don't even list it!
Here's a pic of the new radiator, it has the same setup as the old one but the fittings are slightly different. I bought the tranny adapters at ace hardware (awesome help) but can't manage to find one that will adapt a fluted fitting to a straight fitting with a land and o-ring set up.
