The WVO guys mix the RUG with good results but the hotter the area the less RUG used. Toss a little acetone in there for a hot clean burn but not too much.
Couldn't remember the term, thanks. Here is a look at a water filtration system utilizing one that's extremely tall, you can see it's all the way to the top. Yours doesn't need to be but just a bit off the bottom to let the sludge fall around it a bit...
He is good if he will thread a pipe through the hole in the bottom that extends about 6-8" into the drum. Your setup will stay the same but you aren't pulling from the bottom like towcat said.
I went to the local auto parts store and purchased towcats setup. Or Ace for water filters from what I hear. Towcat does have the part numbers listed in his thread so it can't be much easier.
I'm using towcats filter head and filter setup but I'm waiting on my pump now, it should be in tomorrow. Link for the pump I ordered, not from this site though they are high. I got it for less than this shipped 3 day express, I was working and lost out on a used one on ebay so I booted up and...
It's the same thing here, every time I turn around somebody is calling me asking if I pick up WMO for free. I know I turned down at least 1500 gallons last week, I don't have a place for it. I've got 1750gal in tanks now waiting for filtering and 3 2000gal tanks on order. If it keeps coming...
Methanol... That's what my buddies run, last motor he only got 32 passes on before ignition. Two pistons wedged sideways in the cylinders, pretty nasty.
Maybe he put a gallon of acetone in with his 10 gallons of Methanol to get better mileage in the quarter... :)
Yea, when I said you don't filter it at all they replied "nope been doing it for years." Need to ask how often their filter clogs and what the overhauls looked like.
Well if you were closer I have some to donate for sure. My bill from Exxon and Valero refineries last month was a hair over 60 grand. I hope to be at full capacity in the next three months with a centrifuge in tow to see if I can cut that by at least 40%. I'm crossing my fingers and if...
Looks to be a top load tank so it should have a 12-16" port on top. It's a stainless tank so it should hold good pressure as long as the seals are in good shape. It would make a nice super sucker with a valve at the pump off exit and some bracing. The pipe inside the box looks like what I...
Those properties I think might make it better to thin down WVO with and run like a RUG mixture. I was poking around the solvent thinning at biodiesel forums and maybe that could be an application.
