I know it doesnt make any sense. And it doesnt matter if I put the original gem back in either. Only thing with that is 4x4 doesnt work again and no start.. I've just ran out of brain capacity for this thing. I've done so much research, I've listened and tried so many ideas from everyone here...

Yes they will all 3 connect to pretty much anything with an obd 2 port. I do have power at cig lighter and at the obd port. But no scan tool will actually link to the pcm. I can run the tests through the gem by bypassing the pcm, i.e. the injector buzz test and the other multi function tests but...
