Ok I just read thru 24 pages of good info as well as some not so great info. But I have to ask a few questions, maybe I did not read properly or missed a few things.
First question is what gear where you running the truck in on your pull? I would assume it was 4th direct drive for a accurate...
crack the inj lines fuel should be present with truck cranking not a trickle. But most 6.2's once the pump have fuel they will bleed out quickly. I would really wonder if the inj pump still has air in it or the shut off solenoid is stuck.
Also the batterys are new, the lift pump as well, and the belts. Theres a decent amount of work done to the truck but it was simply updating parts that wear I choose to replace before they broke. The blackout lights all work and are serviceable, the truck is equipped with a solar minder...
This truck is still very original, I still have the ant mounts, and radio mount, all shackles are there as well as the m16 mounts. The only thing missing is the rubber floor mat it was dry rotted and I removed it to make sure there was no rust. it is titled in Kansas so yes it would be a...
check out govt liquidations, tons of 6.2 and 6.5 motors there. I know people who have bought 4 motors for less than 200 dollars for the lot of them. Then they simply inspected and took the good parts scrapped the rest and came out ahead.
I have also seen optimiser blocks and P400 come out...
make sure the red wire on the inj pump is hooked up. Also did you bleed the air from the fuel filter housing by turning the plastic screw? Are the glowplugs cycling 6.2's hate to start without them? Whats the exhaust smell as your turing it over? I am sure I can help but I need alittle more info.
Ok here it is, awhile back I was looking for a pickup before I moved from KY to KS. Well I have moved and I am working finally. I have a 1987 Chevy Blazer (aka M1009 CUCV) that I would like to trade plus possibly some cash for the right truck.
The CUCV started flawless this entire winter...
Can someone link me these cheap psd injectors, are they a complete injector or just tip's. I do alot of work on the PSD for people and always like to find better deals for my customers. I am sorry that people want to gripe since I belive I was the first int he thread to state the higher cost...
if the truck has the mils it says it does from other thread you might want to look into injectors first, to many a good psd has been ruined from people stepping up performance with bad injectors.
here in ky they are so worried about thier money gifts dont count anymore, well truth be told i think you get 1 per year. But to even get the purchase price you have to fill out a form and both parties sign it and it must be notarized to pay sales tax on the value in which you paid. Or they go...
I was born in raised in KY how are you not transfering the trucks, your insuring a truck with it legally registered in someone elses name??? Might need to sell both to pay court fees. Plus if the commonwealth found out you were skipping on all those taxes they love to give us you would really...
well you know the truck and know its history, psd are more expensive to maintain, but thats pretty much up to you. see your truck is a extended cab so you would be giving up space. Motor on the PSD shouldnt be hurt unless not taken care of but injectors are pretty costly. But again seems like...
