air rear suspension

Does an air rear suspension exist for these trucks (mine is an 89 350 DRW)? Not sure whether I could afford one, but curious/ interested to find out whether there are older ones I could keep an eye out for on ebay and CL. I tried the search function, but it seems to dislike words as short as "air" so I did not get far/

are we talking "helpers" or a full blown air system? i linked and bagged mine. if you do a search for posts by my name something should come up. it's a custom set up, works good for what it does, i'm currently rethinking my suspension and might go with a link/ coil over combo.

The parts to do an airbag setup aren't that much if you can fab up the 4 link yourself. If you have to have a shop do it all it might cost ya.

I like the design of that Kelderman system and the way that it uses the air cushioning to soften the minor punishment while still giving all the regular spring capacity -- but it's out of my budget.

Anyone know if they come available and what they go for used?

My truck also has a massive rear auxiliary frame for its original fire truck rear bumper, so I'd have to figure out/confirm clearances-- or maybe I could someday use that auxiliary frame as the start of a Kelderman-like "air shackle"

Thanks-- those look a lot like the "velvet rides" that came and seemingly went; they seemed like a good idea, and I'm not sure whether they flopped from a technical standpoint or just peoples' price/ willingness to purchase standpoint.

Velvet rides were a good product.
I never knew about the velvet rides till they (Firestone???) quit making them.

i wish they had the balls to rate them for the f450's. I'd try anything to smooth out the damn ride in those monsters when they are less than at GVW.
