“Wait to start” light not turning on

When I bought my 1990 f350 7.3 idi the light was turning on every time I turned the key but now it is not. Is the glow plug controller off?

What does your battery gauge do when you turn the key? Do you hear any clicking?

It may even be that your bulb in the light on the dash burned out.

Try tapping your glow plug relay with the plastic handle of a screwdriver with the key turned and see if it clicks on. They can get weak and won't turn on without motivation.
