Hi Gang! I'm looking for a different topper for Raylan, my '94. Right now, he's wearing the optional dealer installed fiberglass cap. It's pretty, paint matched, looks sharp! However, it's got small sliding windows which don't allow me to run a bed mounted aux fuel tank or access the bed from the side of the truck. On Diego, my '90, I have a 2012 aluminum ARE Super Duty commercial cap. It's not an exact fit on the bed, and the SD cap is tapered to match the SD bed, but it close enough that it doesn't cause any problems and it like the truck is white so overall it doesn't look too bad and it's functional for my needs plus iirc, I picked it up for $200. Now my question is what cap to get for the '94? Cosmetically, it's much nicer than old Diego the mule and we plan to keep it "forever". I'd like to get a cap that fit properly and had side access to the bed. Obviously, I'd like to avoid buying new - the commercial aluminum caps cost a bunch of $$$$ that I don't have. I realize that I am not going to find a color matched 25 year old cap in good condition, so I'm not opposed to having to paint the cap. If some of you guys who've been around these trucks for a long time had any insight as to what might be out there, I be mighty appreciative!
