I've been getting the F250 ready to bolt the turbo on, and I'm in the process of getting the gauges installed. I picked up a boost gauge (0-15 psi), a pyro (0-1500*), and a transmission oil temp. gauge (100-280*). The gauges are ISSPRO.
My question is about the temperature sender for the transmission temp gauge. I've got a ZF and I'm a little apprehensive about drilling into my case (although I do realize it needs to be done). My plan is to drain the tranny and carefully drill the correct size hole in the case. I've got a tap that I can use for cutting the threads. I'm hoping I'm able to catch all of the shavings.
Any tips or pointers from someone who may have done this?
