trying to find a idi in my corner of hell is a losing battle lol
But across this 86 with 169,000 went and test drove it. Guy said he just got back from Mexico and it’s been sitting 3 months cold start it started pretty good for a idi it’s definitely not pretty but mechanically it’s sound only issue I see and it may not really be one but it did seem like a dog but then again it’s not a Duramax which is my company truck
Oh and steering was sloppy but for $1200 I think it might be a good around town truck thoughts?

South Texas it's probably not even rusted. $1200 for something like that with 4x4 to boot is what we call a steal grab it.

I'd buy it. Fresh filter and a decent dose of fuel system cleaner will make a nice difference if it's been sitting. Might be worth taking it to someone to set the timing too. They're slow compared to a Duramax but much more reliable.
