High Idle/Cold Advance Question

You do press on the accelerator pedal when starting? That is proper procedure and should make it start easier than relying on the high idle solenoid. Here's the factory procedure on back of the sunvisor.

I didn't know that about the pedal. I've never really had an issue with starting, but it doesn't stay cold here for very long either. Thanks for that info.

yep, the high idle solenoid is rarely strong enough to push the throttle out on it's own anyways, there needs to be a throttle depress to move it out for it to hold. At least it never has on the 3 different IDIs i've owned. All the high idle and cold advance wiring was "deleted" by a previous owner, so I had to run my own.
