I need help identifying some wires that were hooked up to the alternator in a …not factory way, as I’m rewiring a new 1 wire alternator in.
I just want to know what the wires do essentially and where they were supposed to go.
- from the firewall there is a loom with a red, yellow, green with yellow marks, and black.
-then the other is a thicker gauge yellow , and a green with red stripe.
The way it was hooked up prior, the yellow, red, and thick yellow, all connected together and went to the alternator and the solenoid.
Now it’s how you see it, and I just want to make it neat. It’s a one wire alternator, I have the circuit breaker mounted. Guessing the green wire will trigger it, so what the hell do I do with the other wires.
Ps. There’s also one wire from the glow plug harness that’s cut not doing anything, wondering where it goes?
