This goes with my post in the marketplace.
Try the starter this morning, and turns over for a 1/2 second.
Try the key again, click, press clutch try key click.
Take backup vehicle to work.
Start trouble shooting. Relay tested good. Crawl under.....

That's just crazy. As thick and heavy as these adapter plates are, I never imagined one breaking like that. You must have an extremely high torque starter and might not even need glow plugs to start until about 10* or so.

I have a reduction starter and two very healthy 1100cca batteries and it still needs glow plugs up to about 50*. Even then it needs to crank for about 10-15 seconds to start which is much too long to crank in my opinion when holding the glow plugs for 5 seconds will make it fire next piston up on compression.

PSD also do not have the top 2 bolt bosses as the IDI do...
ive only seen cast iron on IDI's
but never that shiny
