What's this noise

Just finished this afternoon with my reman 93' zf-s42 with 7.3 idi. new clutch, pilot bearing, throwout bearing. Shifts great and smooth but I have a noise that's bothering me. This noise only happens off idle and burping the throttle off and on. Something sounds loose or bearing out. There's a year warranty on it but wanted to be on top of it when I talk to the rebuilder tomorrow. This tranni came from bg&s out of grand island, NE. Not talking bad on them.

Now the shifter boot isn't screwed down so noise will resonate a little more than usual in the cab.

Does it go away when you depress the clutch?

Locked it in 4 this morning to see if it would tighten thinks up. Now the noise is considerably a lot quieter. Now I'm not sure if it's not coming from tranni and could be transfer case chain as in being a loose chain.

I've never beat it like this before so couldn't say it did or didn't make the noise with old tranni. I was just giving it a work out where it was a new tranni to make sure everything is good.
