That's about right on par with what I turned out for numbers on my last fill up.

16 US gallons got me 302 miles which is roughly 18.9 MPG.

For the other Canucks on here......60.6 liters to go 487 kilometers gives me about 8.03 kilometers per liter....or 22.5 MPG imperial.

This is on 265/75R16 rubber, 3.55's a ZF, non turbo engine and the pump is turned up LOTS..I rolled coal on more than one occasion to remove the tailgaters but for the most part I took it easy.

what conversion constant # did you set your gauge cluster to, for those tires goofy?

LOL....I was waiting for someone to catch that!!!

A 265/75R16 is almost EXACTLY the same height as a 253/85R16 which came stock on the truck. The only difference is a 265 is about an inch wider than a 235. (265MM across the tread face vs. 235 mm across)

My proof!!! a 0.26% increase in size.

so as long as im not laying on the long pedal on the right im getting really good mpg ....now when i rolled into it for a lil HWY romp at 70 - 75 things changed alot mpg dropped to 16 or less i think i got a low of 12 im really pleased with the way the truck is performing for a 23 yr old flying brick it's doing great an if i jus set the cruise at 60 im running a hair over 2000 rpm's ...one of my goals is to try n get my RPM at hwy around 60 to 65 down to 17 or 1800 ...........so im reading an trying to learn from things i see on here to make it happen

OH! One more thing I think I should add.....my mileage numbers were obtained with a pinned clutch fan.......my radiator was acting up mid spring, so I pinned it. Might be a couple MPG higher with the new clutch fan hub installed

and might be another one or two on top of that, if you decide to ditch the old thing for a couple electrics.;)

With 305s I was getting 15-17mpgs over several tanks. Depends a lot on how I drive. With my 325/85/16s I get about 10-12 with the tires at 30psi and around 14ish at 70the psi. When I was running 265#s the lowest I ever got was 13 pulling a 25 ft flatbed with a crewcab on it st around 75-80 mph for a couple hours straight.

?
Also, the 265 and 305 tires we're pre turbo, now I have an ats with the 325s. It was a total **** with hugh tires and no turbo lol. Now it's a little slow off the line but pulls decent once moving.

Whats funny is around town my truck does horrible i get 10-11 mpg. Open road i get 15-17, with all time best being 19mpg. This is with a zf5/4.10s and 256/75/16 tires....With a very old fuel system.

Around town it eats fuel because it's always revving higher for shifting etc.....

I'm getting 20 highway with my ip all the way up on my 6.9 and i have 4.10 gears with a 4 speed tranny

Ha, yeah maybe with a 30mph tailwind and you doing around 45/50mph in neutral down hill most of the time.

I saw 20.2 in my 85 with the stock 3.55s and a t-19 running around 55/58mph over 306miles. My 94 turbo I have seen as high as 25 on cross country trip with intercooler, zf5, 3.55s, cold air, new pump, new injectors, running just below 2000rpms (68mph). Montana to Indiana empty.

My 85 now with 4.56s empty at 55mph I see around 14 on the 30miles to town and back. I towed my 20k lb military 6x6 on my 8k lb 25' GN from Miles City, MT to Kalispell, MT over 2 mountain passes (560 miles) running 50-60 mph I got between 7-9. Also loaded with 120gal of fuel in the bed plus my tanks full.
