Water cooled exhaust

I know I have a water cooled turbo on my 12v cummins. But I do believe that my 60 series detroit has both water cooled exhaust and water cooled turbo. I'm at my shop now so I'm looking for the manual for it.

This would be different can work but won't go fast because of rpm I'd so low.

RPM is only part of the equation, and can be manipulated with gearing and props.
not very much different than a vehicle.

There is an egr cooler on there. You would need a giant radiator just to shed the heat from a water cooled exhaust manifold on a highway truck. Hell they are having a tough time cooling them as is.

My big truck stays at 185 to 200. It has more surface area then ours.

IDIoit your right it could do it fo a single engine twin props.

I can't find my literature on the water cooling exhaust for my bus. But now it could have water go around the turbo mounting and turbo to cool the egt for the turbo so he doesn't super heat the oil that in the turbo.

Water cooled turbos are fairly common nowadays.

A lot of Garrett's are.
