Cracked open the line into the filter and no fuel. Headed out to find a cheap for now electric pump.

should fuel come through the Schrader?
Sorry I'm learning.

Yes, fuel should be coming out of the scraeder valve when the engine is cranking, if there is no air in the fuel filter. Air in the fuel filter may be indicative of a problem.

You said your parked up hill. If you have a 1/4 tank of fuel or less and the shower head pickup is disintegrated or fell off you won't be sucking fuel, just air. If that's the case, add another 5 or more gallons of fuel. Shower head pic below. There cheap from ebay, dealer is always more expensive.

On possible water in the cylinders. There is a drain hole in the bottom of the air filter, if the filter element is soaked with water, then it's possible to have water in a cylinder or two. Since you have cranked it over and it won't start then you have a fuel suction problem, "NO fuel out the schrader valve", if it ran before, your problem is like above.

Yes you should get fuel out of the Schrader Valve. You have air in the fuel filter. Hold down the schrader valve and crank, til you get fuel. Then try to start it.
