The guy says it drives straight and no issues. What do you guys think? Serious question , I don't weld/fab much

Here's my question: why was this repair needed? I'm assuming accident as there's no rust down by you. I'd be more worried about if/where/how hard it got hit, just so you could take a look at other stuff that could be involved.

Good luck in your search: seems like decent IDIs are getting tougher to find these days

I feel much better about driving next to that than 90% of the rusty fords up here in michigan

I think that's an effective repair. Don't forget, there's a lot of factory welding in these front frame sections too.

If you feel the need to do more, one of those RSK crossmembers would make things REALLY sturdy in that area.

Also, whoever welded that actually knows what they’re doing, those are unground welds and look better than most finished welds I see
