i dropped the fuel tank to put a new sending unit in and once i got the old one out i realized the only thing wrong with it was that the wire inside of it had broken off right at the top underneath where the electrical connectors are. It looks like it could be re-connected somehow but i don't know the best way - could regular electrical solder work? it looks like originally it was crimped on but the crimp is corroded so there is not much left there to re-do it. There must be some way to do it, right?
