Good Ol' Corn (name = corn binder, but we already have a truck called the binder, so this is corn :) ) Bought this truck last July, pretty good truck but could use some help (if your selling a cheaper turbo or a ZF5, let me know :) )

I figured since i'm on here i'd show my truck. Its a 1985 F-250 I blew up the 6.9 that was in it. My transfer case and trans are shot as well. So i picked up a 7.3 IDI out of a ambulance i'm going to put in it as well as rebuild the C6 transmission and get rid of the Borgwarner transfer case and swap in a NP205. I'll do a build thread on it as well. Anyway here's a pic.

84 f250 "WOOD BOSS"

bought her last year from my sister in laws uncle.the original owner. he used it to haul grain.
60k miles.
$600.
needed 2 batteries and shot of go juice.

in the year ive replaced the t-19/bw1345 for a t-18/bw1345. since the output shaft rotted away and took out all the splines
had the GP relay stick which wasted all the gps. still having issues with this.
dropped a 24" tree on the cab while gf and I were inside

currently replacing injector return line parts,
needs front left axle u-joint soon,

first pic was 9 months ago, 2nd is today, 3rd is me

was a 91 or so f250 ext cab. kid and his dad were parting out a beat to **** 7.3 N/A. with 303,000 miles on it. paid $250 with tires at 90%
should have grabbed what i could. whole truck was going for $400.
I like the no caps. its a work horse. I drive it 2 miles a day mon-fri. and in the summer she hauls about 30 loads of firewood.

Trading a load of wood for a complete dual rear axle in the spring from a junk yard, gonna need new shoes when that comes anyways.

It acts like it's seeping compression out the side of the engine sometimes because it will run rough like miss really bad and you can hear a hiss-hiss-hiss but then it will quit and run good

Strange for it to come and go.

sounds like maybe a warped head, block, blown out head gasket, or a combination of the 3. When I blew out my first IDI it did this out of the number 7 cylinder. It will probably be fine for a long time.

Here is a soon to be IDI, 1985 F-250. It's an old 460 truck of mine, I did a body swap and auto to manual conversion back in the day. I sold it to my friend who drove it for a few years and then just pulled the drivetrain to put in another truck. My other friend bought the body and we are going to swap the drivetrain from the 86 into it since the 86 body is falling apart.
