I know you can see that any day at any time around Lake Erie...spent a bunch of time there, but was amazed how clean Lake Michigan and Lake Huron look, of course, I didn't take chemical analysis!

Lake Erie is getting bad to! I remember decades ago, was such a nice lake, clean and everything. Now it's turning into a waste dump!

I don't know, the last couple years I've been there, it's looked better than in the past 10 or so, guess I've seen it go up and down over the years. The water appears clearer than it has for a long time to me. My grandfather owned a marina on Lake Erie, and I spent a lot of my childhood up there...hard to believe I've seen that Lake at least once a year for 40+ years...I'm getting old!
Thanks for the photos Scott. Very nice. I lived in Toledo for 4 years. It's on the western shore of Erie. I liked boating, fishing, and skiing in the Maumee River much better than in Erie. I heard it was much worse at one time, but it's still got a way to go to be "clean" in my experience.

Yeah, I'm sure. I remembered you living in Toledo too...been there MANY times! lol My grandfathers marina was on Catawba Island near Port Clinton. He repaired high end compasses and we went to Toledo for parts all the time when I was spending time with him. I always go to the Lake each year with my daughter, I guess I'm kind of drawn there because of those memories. Spent many days in a boat fishing with him and always like to see the Lake to keep those memories fresh. He died in 1988, but the memories of pulling walleye over the side of the boat live on! Have already taken Jess there as well, she's had a lot of loss in her life and appreciated my need/want to go there.
Yeah, the walleye run into the Maumee in the spring was a hoot each year. Just about the easiest fishing I've ever done. Good times!

Oh yes it can...since I didn't drive mine, there are skeptics to rather I own one!
