I have been working on a 92 F 350 with a 7.3 Navistar IDI.
So far I have checked the glow pkugs found two bad replaced them but still have the starting problem.
The engine will start but takes about two to three long cranking cycles (30 seconds or so) after it fires up it runs great.
This does not have to be a cold start just one where the engine has been off around 15 to 20 minutes. I suspect fuel is bleeding away from teh injector pump but I haven't found any obvious leaks other than the one I created yesterday changing a glow plug.

Answered this in your repeat post but it sounds like air is leaking in causing the fuel to suction back out of the injection pump. Our fuel supply system needs to be tight. Think of it like a straw full of soda and your finger is covering the end of it as you pull the straw out of the soda. nothing leaks out of the straw till you allow air into the straw. then it all leaks out. Thats how our fuel system works.
