Took my truck on its first trip pulling my little rv trailer after having switched over to manual fuel selector valves and replacing ball joints and doing my own alignment. It ran great. Now if I can get my warning dinger to work when the lights get left on, it will be functionally excellent. Then its time for new paint.

I'm not sure what year that started. I don't think my 88 had it. I don't think the 91 did either. Could go aftermarket. It would be a real simple circuit.

well hell,
I had to get a complete engine out of my garage today to make way for the engine build in my truck.

I started off cannibalizing 2 incomplete engine stands that was given to me into a engine cradle.

after a good friend came over, killed 8 grams of herb, and a 12 pack....
it took me till 3 pm to finish, but the engine is in my work shop ready to get plastic wrapped and stored until my hotrod project is ready.

a solid engine stand, for the price of 2 cut off wheels and some welding wire!

Nice. Wish I had a Bridgeport sitting in the garage. [emoji53]

The machine next to it is my bread and butter.
A KO Lee surface grinder.
Holds +\-0.0002" all day long;Sweet

This is in my machine shop.
Only hand tools in the garage
And it's a greasy filthy mess!

Having a real mill and lathe is about the only thing I miss about my old office space.

I sent the old girl out for some attention this week. Mr. Driveshaft in Wall Twp, NJ put 3 new U joints in, new carrier bearing, new pinion yoke and balanced the whole setup for $577, and they were finished the same day. GREAT shop to deal with. She rides smooth as silk at any speed now.

I also put some pre charged antifreeze and new heater core lines in, and put some new belts on her today as my alternator belt gave the ghost. These are the first belts I've bought since buying the truck in 2008, not too shabby at all. The power steering belt appears to be an original Motor craft belt still!.

I haven't plowed snow since the mount was installed and figured I don't want the truck in the snow anyway so off came the Western Unimount bracket as well. Snowplow stuff is to be sold off this winter.

. Me and the little man went for a spin in the rattle trap Ford....he was all smiles. 410 gears and a C6 with 235 85 16s are terrible...

chip truck;
lost heat in the cab!!!! what the heck?
ok.so the rad has a slow leak.maybe i let her get too low? topped her up.still no heat.line from coolant filter to heater core is hot but return from core to water pump is cool! uh oh! time to use one of those replacement brass/copper cores i got off Bill yet?
so i remove line from filter and line off the core and blow in it........wide open! what?
ok why was the line from filter still hot then? odd.i guess cus it still acts like a hot chimney is all.
so a penray need release plugged up on me.uh oh.they claim their "sca's are not supposed to congeal like their competitors."
well.got news for ya.they must of lol.first time it's happened though and iv run 3 or 4 of 'em now.
anyway,so i stop in at a napa on the way in to work this morning,grab a napa/wix blank.screw that on there and............warm feet again baby!:D

iv got another new penray here i can swap back in shortly to keep sca's stable.

so i suppose you could look at this both ways;
on one hand if i had a bypass system i wouldn't have gotten cold feet this morning.
on the other,i wouldn't of been informed my sca need release filter was no longer protecting my engine either.

i'll take the cold feet over block worm please.;)

log truck;

then after work,i drive log truck home after leaving her parked over night at a couple different jobs,making good use of her auto crane.
had to limp her home with a broken flexplate (as noted in devoted thread)
was a good time playing with old worn out trucks........but i wouldn't trade 'em for a brand new one.:D
