I just ordered from Ford... looks like the plugs are silver dollars, is that right?
so what at are frost plugs supposed to look like

Yes.. And thank you for ordering from Ford... Way too many members buy cheap aftermarket plugs. then they try to install them without the special tool and they fall out later on. What for uses is a special stainless steel material and the grind the edge so it cuts into the cast iron seat. The sttel or brass aftermarket plugs can't do that so they fall out You will need a sealant on the plugs to the block too. Hylomar is a great sealer that wont harden. So is permatex avaition cement. Do not attempt installation without sealant or the tool. Many have tried and many have failed. Beg... Borrow or steal the tool. These are not like any other plug out there. We have no way to know if they are installed correctly. These are not like any gasser cut type plug.
