Road Draft Tube

What are people using to make a road draft tube? Specifically where the tube enters the valley pan grommet? Will water enter the tube if you go through extremely deep water?

You can use the rubber pipe where the CDR goes, just gotta fab up a blocker plate for the back of the intake. 1/2" hose is too small by the way, plan on 3/4" or larger hose. And no, water will not climb up through it, unless you engine is completely under water and also shut off.

Many of us use the Banks Adapter (part number in the Parts Bin - tech article section) which is the device you see mounted between the oil fill and IP gear cover, which is the source of the smoke you see in the below pic.

That looks to be allot of blow by to me. But I do have to say, the new 6.9 in my moms truck rolls out a haze at idle. But I have my RDT plumbed into the exhaust pipe so that part of the fumes get burned.
