Has anyone tried relocating to run a PSD intake box? I like the fact that it's behind the battery and out of the way. I would assume that the intake would bolt right in and would just need to fab up the connection to the turbo. Thoughts?

Gimme a few days. I moved both my batteries to the passenger side last week. It was too easy. Ford shoulda done it for us. It leaves lotsa space for activities in the driver side.

You will probably need to keep the coolant reservoir about the same level relative to the radiator, which somewhat limits where you can move it to. Can't say for sure, but I think it woln't work right if it's lower than the top tank.

^^^^ That would be a concern if it were a _reservoir_, like on the mid-'95 and later PSDs. The IDIs have an external overflow and a radiator cap, so the "elevation" of the overflow bottle isn't a factor.

True to a degree, but it still matters I think - when it cools off it has to pull coolant back into the system, which works best when it's at nearly the same level. I don't know for certain, but I would expect it to have trouble if you lowered it too much. Every engine I've ever seen has the overflow set at close to the same level, so I would stay with that....

All it needs to pull coolant back is for the hose that goes into the overflow to go all the way to the bottom. It's the level of the radiator cap that counts, and it won't change.

Remember, it will work great, first generation(1994.5) power strokes used the same radiator right?

So, the overflow should work the same as well.

how does one swap batteries to the other side. with my coolant filter over there there is hardly any room. I have yet to even find where I want the e-fuel pump to go...I will cross that bridge when I get there. and with wiring and the voltage regulator. How???? Im sure that we all know with a v8 engine bay real estate is hard to find. so maybe playing switcheroo will give more space for "aerobics or activies"!

Honestly my radiator and washer res are both cracked anyway so I could just get rid of them. I do want to fix them eventually though. The washer res I could always get a different one and make it fit anywhere, it's the radiator one that I am more concerned about. If relocated the battery I could probably put it up there. Food for thought.

Mine fit with my electric pump. things could be moved to make both fit in my opinion.
