Hello,
can a P-7100 be put in place of a rotary pump in a 1991 cummins 6bt? Would it require any mods other than new injection lines?
thanks,
paul

Yes you can put in a P7100 but it takes some work. There are several manufacturers that offer conversion kits and they're fairly pricey. If I recall correctly, several parts get changed. Try the search function and see if you can come up with anything.

A P-pump conversion isnt worht the price in parts to convert. The best option is to just buy a complete p-pump motor.
This is unless u have access to cheap p-pump stuff. In short, u need icustom made injector lines (different nut size injectors, OR p-pump bodied inectors with VE pump motor tips cause of the spray pattern difference) the pump, complete timing case, and the misc. little parts required. Plus a piston lift pump to feed the p-pump the required amount of fuel.
