Welp, the trip to the rally in KY destroyed at least one of my ******* switching valves in my WVO system. They say not to use them for hot veggie, and I found out why. The OH trip followed by the KY trip was more continuous hours than I have ever put on the system and the hot oil was just too much for these cheap valves.
Anyway, I am thinking through some re-designs, with a few thoughts in mind. In the mean time
I have a question for you guys though.
As part of my system beef up, I am going to switch to this piston based mechanical lift pump, see this video for how it works if you are not familiar
(he gets into it at about the 3 min mark)

So my question is what do you think is a bigger mistake:
- Set my system up so this lift pump never sees any veggie/WMO/other waste oil, only diesel, but while in veggie mode the output is completely closed off, possibly for hours on end. OR
- Set my system up so this lift pump is exposed to hot veggie/various waste oils while in veggie mode, possibly for hours on end, but its always flowing fuel as intended.
