hi, need some help. Wife has 2001 F250 SuperDuty, 7.3 Powerstroke, 360,000 kilometres (~200,000 miles) on it. Starts fine if plugged in but will not stay running unless I ride the accelerator pedal. Trying to drive away while cold is brutal...stalls every 10 feet and then difficult to restart. A 10 minute warmup in the driveway and everything is beautiful. Once it is up to temp all systems are normal and it works like a champ.
Any clues??? Wife is making new truck noises!!!

not much to go on...

...sorry for the lack of info. Have not checked for codes so will do that. Truck has had regular oil changes. Cold? Sometimes. Live in central Ontario, about an hour north of Toronto, daytime temps around the freezing point these days. Truck has been ultra reliable until the last couple of months. Will let you know what I find.

How long since the fuel filter was changed? Has it gelled up recently? If so the fuel filter could be restricted.

...changed all filters, still acts the same, no gelling problems. Seems directly related to engine operating temp and is not intermittent, same predictable PITA every morning.

On the front of the engine on top is the HPOP and out the back on the drivers side is a cylindrical sensor that scews into the HPOP This is the IPR(injector preasure regulator) try heating this before you start to see if thats your problem. A heat gun would be best but a hair dryer would work too just slower but make sure you give it enough heat time to warm up the internals
