my 2001 f550 powerstroke auto hasn't had a problem starting cold, but it doesn't like to start warm, sometimes.

Bit of back story. Had the truck for 3 weeks, put 3000 km's on it, no problems to speak of.

Then 4 days ago, the first time I drove it in the rain (and it was a good rainstorm) it stalled coming off the highway when it was idling.

It would not restart right away. I had not changed the fuel filter and had a spare in the truck. So I drained the bowl and changed the filter. All this took 30 minutes and when I restarted it, it fired up.

Then after getting to work and letting it cool a few hours I tried the truck again to go for lunch. It fired up just like normal so i thought I had it fixed.

Shut it off at the store and it wouldn't start after 10 minutes.

Walk back to work and come back to truck at end of day. It starts.

No problems until today (4 days later)

Drive in the rain again to town and after 40 minutes of shopping come back to truck and it wont start.

So now I am in starbucks using their internet drinking tea typing this out.

Any ideas?

edit: tach jumps to 250 rpm and the oil pressure gauge reads at operating range when cranked for 7 seconds
