I crimped 2 together and ran a 10 gauge wire for each of the two sets on the driver side, i crimped 2 together with a ring terminal on the passenger side, the harness was long enough without extending it. I ended up not relocating my glow plug controller as it was much less crowded with the fuel filter and bracket removed

Good over here too. Only a few starts so far but it works.

Crimped and soldered 4 wires into 2 10ga wires for the run from driver side to the GPC on the passenger valve cover. Added about 8" of length then went to a single soldered on copper lug.

The harness I got from Diesel care on eBay doesn't seem exceptional in quality.

Also, on the driver side of the engine, the harness almost isn't long enough to get between #2 & 4 cylinders due the the raised casting with threaded holes that the turbo intake ended up being bolted to. I don't believe that if I was still running the stock intake setup it would have fit. I got 8,6,& 4 plugged in, but #2 was kinda leaning since the wire was just a hair shy of how long it needed to be.

This shows the lean created by the fairly tight wire wrapping around the casting on the intake

I don't expect issues, but it isn't perfect.

AND now that the harness is now 97% good and I replaced on burned out plug, we're back to near-instant starts. ;Sweet

Good! These are still on my list, but since I'm N/A, it looks like I should just be able to crimp on ring terminals without adding 10 gauge wire.

I just bought a set. My OEM harness is cooked: the connectors are stuck on the GP heads and when I try to pull them up they fall apart in my hand. Thanks again for the heads up and details on this.

If you do this, be sure to start with a QUALITY 6.0 harness. My $25 ebay special is starting to loosen up its grip on the bullet connectors, giving the symptoms of a burned out plug, when it really just isn't making good enough contact to light that plug.

I went and bent all the round connectors as best I could and got another 100% solid start, but the next start it was back to acting like I had a burned out plug and shaking and smoking until that cylinder built enough heat of its own to light off. Easy fix to just buy another one and make it really quick, but very annoying and unnecessary if I had just bough a good one to start off.

I'm guessing the 6.0 "holds" onto these glow plug harness connectors better since it has another O-ring up higher on the connector that must fit tightly into the 6.0 glow plug hole. I must not depend on the electric connector to hold itself together, like we are doing.

Yes, the 6.0 uses that additional O-Ring to seal the connector into the head. The 6.0 has the plugs outside the valve covers, like the 6.9/7.3 IDI's do. They actually have a tool to remove the harness plugs from the head, as it's common to pull the boots apart they are sealed so tight....

This is how they are utilized in their natural habitat......

I had trouble getting the harness off the glow plugs when I pulled my engine, I got my kit from Amazon. I don't think it was genuine motorcraft though
