Rotella every 7500 miles. No synthetic 'til 20,000. There's a '94 DC over at the TurDR with over 1,114,000 miles on it that's had Rotella in it the whole time. I'll likely stick with Rotella.:D

I ran it in both of my powerstrokes and if it can make a powerstroke run good then a ****** should be no problem....

I run Delo 15w40 and Fleetguard Strat's using a 5,000 mile drain interval. My driving habit's include a lot of short trips where the truck does not always warm up fully. However, if I had a long commute every day that got the truck good and hot for 15-20 miles I would adhere to the factory recommended 7,500 mile interval.

I think it's a good idea to pick one brand, whichever that might be, and stick with it. I use Mobil Delvac 1300. I'm a big fan of Mobil products. I cange my oil and oil filter every 5000.

Never smelled Rotella, but I can smell Delo from a ways. Especially when newly changed.

Ask Muddy;)

Delo is my standard break-in oil. Good stuff.

If you are going to go to a synthetic oil, do wait about 15k or so. Allow complete break-in.

Hello
Your just wasting your $$$. Try Lubrication Engineers products. I change my oil only when a engine oil analysis say's to do so. So far aroung 8 to 10,000 miles TBN is still @ 10. I dont need to "REALLY" change the oil,. but will try to 14,000 next month. Truck has 259,000 w/ no oil or fuel related problems.
Enjoy

Hello
OK. Oil anaylsis indicated oil was still good @ 13,800 miles - chanegd it anyway - as long as I have a good air filter in - my oil does not seem to darken with debris or hard use. Does use 2 pints in this time and/or mileage frame. I like the LE products - run the stuff in all components. I dont know how these distributors make a living -the products last for a long time.
Good luck
JL
