Would it be a good idea to do both stock IP and injectors with the aftermarket new fuel return kit? I know there hasnt been much done to this baby, and i would hate to put a high flow pump and injectors and melt a piston, or crack the infamous HG hahaha.

Yes it looks pieced together to me as well, but i am looking for a challenge to get her back to life.

This would be a great idea if you can afford it. I would still recommend installing a pyrometer even on a stock injection pump. If you want a little more giddy-up, I would look into Mel's baby moose IP. He is a great source for injection parts and his staff will help you make the right decision in regards to which pump will best suite your rig.
Did you get a chance to pull valve covers?
