The floor pan had to be patched in this truck, and was told water can come the cowl area. I see there is signs water is still getting in, the floor mat is still rolled up.

They do well to get the old sealent out...

Some scrub pads and grease remover help with the rest...

That hole is the hvac box and have time before it gets cold...

This crevice had sealer injected from the inside and I will be trying to inject from the outside, picked out as much as could...

This all would be easier with scaffolding but all I have is a rudimentary step stool, to be able to step up on to the tires.

Cheers man, pulling off old sealant is so annoying but really satisfying when done - there's a lot on there and in a small space.
Curious what sort of product will go on to replace

So another round of scrubing the phosphate acid in, then sanding in the cleaner, and followed by wipeing off with the cleaner.

Well, a finger to the sky and shooting the primer anyways, after wipeing with the acid. Not sure if will hold up, but might make it easyer next time. Now its going to be cold and going to need a industrial size hair drier, to lay the sealant when I see this again.

I’m patching my floor pans right now and I found water leaking in through my cowl as well. Looks like I’ll be tackling this next! You should also check the seam sealer in your drip rails, I guarantee it’s cracked too and letting water drip down inside your A and B pillars.
