Manual Fuel Shutoff lever conversion questions

The manual shut off is a cable that you attach to the lever mech where the solenoid attaches so you would pull the cable out when you wanted to start or run the truck. Then you would push it in when you wanted to shut the truck off.

Or remove part of the arm and push in to start, pull out to stop??? The I-H is the way to go, they are strong and made for abuse.
