lifter question

so i got all my parts from mhale today and i was looking at the lifters.
are there different lifters for intake and exhaust? i only ask because i have 2 different style of lifters. 8 are the same as the ones i removed, 8 are different. same od, length, and roller. no champer, just a milled recess, only on one side, and weep hole size is smaller. i tried to call mhalle but no ones home tonight. so i toss it to the brotherhood. run um or return um?

Doesn't sound right to me, I would double check with them first. Could just be two different manufacturers. Good eye's for noticing though.

I have 3 sets, 6.9, 7.3 IDI and 7.3 PSD all are the same, no difference in any of them.

They are probably made by differant manufactors. Look closely at the roller. Is it a bushing or is it a needle bearing? You don't want the bushing type. Otherwise they will be fine but personally I would only install all the same type and maker but thats just me.
