all right guys for the 1997 stroker, which intake is best and why?

Or is the stock system with a high flow filter the best because it ducts the cold "ram" Air?

Open paper element hands down the best air flow and best filtration you can achieve.

do a search for "BHAF" and you'll find many homebuilt setups that cost a fraction of the fancy kits.

so like the tymar, and not the synthetics like the kn setup etc?

Why?
As stated, you'll get better airflow and better filtration with a paper element over anything else out there, period.

The bench flow tests have been done numerous times, filtration and flow with a paper element is superior to the "reusable" element type.

With the reusable type , filtration is at its best when it is nearly 100% plugged at which point you take it out, wash it in detergent and re-oil it which puts it back to its most efficient flow but least efficient filtration.

the problem with open air setup is as opposed to factory in 94-97 is the intake temperature is from under the hood with no intercooler to add density to the air

if you have the full banks powerpack it should come with an intake system they put alot of research into everything they do, and told me the only restriction in the 94-97 stock intake was the stock tubing. But I'm not saying it can't be improved.

All you do with the IAT sensor is zip tie it to the inner fender.
