Hi all.......have never drove a 6.2 diesel......going to look at a RV that has one in it with around 60 k on it. I am a 6.9 and 7.3 man.

What should I expect power wise........it is a 26 ft motorhome.

Being a Ford man I am not familar with these.

Somebody hold my hand and tell me about the 6.2 L please.

thanks

Can't tell you much about the 6.2 other than that they are dogs for power in a Humvee and the Army 5/4 ton pickups.

Parts are readily available though for these engines.

not worried about being a power wagon........is it a pretty good engine otherwise?

what mileage should I expect.......on a flat no wind day? 12-13 mpg?

It will be under powered in a 26' motorhome. It should return the fuel milage you are looking for, but may crack the block, break the crank, or overheat doing it. Unless it's a pretty good deal, I'd maybe look at a gas hog for reliability reasons.
