INTAKE HEATER ON IDI?

how many intake heaters do you guys think it would take to crank my 6.9IDI, i would love to do away with glow plugs completly,and not use block heater,or either. tell me what you guys think, thanks:hail

just steal you wife/GF's hair dryer, set it on high and have at it.. yes i saw this done to a skid steer

Not the first time I've seen that

I know a very expensive sailboat, needs the hairdryer every time to start, it's in the 50's here most of the time. cookoo

Me and my buddy who started this thread have cranked my idi with a high drier i posted the video a while back

My ford 4000 diesel tractor has two heater coils in the intake manifold, but I would bee leery of using a heating element in the intake unless you a running a RDT. Too much oil probably would not bee good for the heating elements
