Hey guys my buddy needs help, he is wondering how to turn up the set idle, any help would be great thanks guys

Oops sorry i completly forgot about that, Its a 96 powerstroke, 5 speed 4x4 ext. cab long box f-250

There is no idle adjustment on the PSD, it should idle about 700 rpm though. I think the manual tranny had a lower idle setting than the auto, 600 or something like that.

If he wanted to go with a custom chip he could specify a higher idle setting to be burned in.

mine idles about 600 or 700.

if he needs it set to a certian speed, like 1,200 rpms to run a PTO, the easiest thing to do is call DPTuner and get a chip with a high idle tune..

turn it up

dont know if its available for that make and model but some programmers will allow you to set the cruise while not moving. kinda like the ford rpm controlers for the pto systems. seems to work good on the ones i have seen
