can someone please post the link--where on another site--the guy was telling how to tune a idi by the glowplug readings????? thanks---believe ford trucks??????

Pretty much only one thing you can "tune" that would be the timing of the injector pump. You can get timing meters that go into the glow plug holes. I assume that's what you're talking about.

I started reading that thread many moons ago, but got tired of reading all of the complaints from the people who did not want to learn/know the theory, just wanting the guy to **** and tell them how to get another 100 RWHP outta their rigs. Did that thread actually go anyplace, and is there a possibility the guy did know what he was talking about?? I just looked at the thread again, 27 pages. Does anybody have the Cliff Notes?

Read the whole thing. I believe he is essentially right but have not done the
work on my IDI. Hope to soon, fuel costs mandate trying anything that will
help.
