I think you could build a IDI baja truck - I managed to jump my 1993 standard cab a good 8 -10 feet on concrete with no ill effects a couple years back LOL

Thanks for educating me about increasing the compression on IDI engines. What I am after is throttle response. I thought I could get it by relying more on engine compression compared to more turbo.

Do you think intercoolers make diesel engines less snappy?

If I cant up the compression, what are some ways to get more throttle response?

Or come to Oregon, we can get up a group for a photo shoot, I can take you for a ride:D Intercoolers dont take away throttle response, these aren't ricers.

I think the old IDI's in stock trim have more throttle response than these new trucks.
