I need to know how you remove the center support bearing off my drive shaft. I am replacing the u-joints and found the cneter support bearing is rough when you twist it and the rubber around it is cracked. I just can't find a way to get the center support bearing off the drive shaft.

I used a 4 lb. hammer to get it off. Problem was pressing it back on. What I did was use a grinder, after it was off, and cut the old outter race off. Next, I cut one third of the inner raceway off. I used the two thirds part to tap it on. It was easy to remove the cut piece from the shaft.

Carrier Bearing Removal

Press is the beat.
Try standing the splined end up on a block of wood and hitting it with a Air Chiesel.
Good luck
