EGR was replaced under warranty at 93k now have 103k. Thinking about buying an EGR valve and plugging into it with out installing it. Thus "blocking" the EGR circuit but the computer still operating the new uninstalled(ghost) valve to prevent codes.

That is one approach or you can go with an EGR delete or get a tuner that deletes the EGR function.

Did you end up trying this? I'm troubleshooting a buddies truck who is convinced his egr valve is whats causing the truck to die at random and only restart when it feels like it... has anyone else run a 6.0 with this "ghost" EGR?

Been busy with front end. New question, how much does eliminating the EGR circuit alter the fuel/air mixture. Apparently not much or it would be on the boards somewhere.
