The sending units for both of the tanks on my 1994 F250 have quit . I am looking at replacing with a capacitance level type sending unit (no moving parts)
from- http://www.centroidproducts.com/ - . What are the gauge resistance specifications for my 1994 F250 .

BTW, what is involved in pulling the rear tank ??

- Thanks

Can someone please provide the link to that TECH article mentioned in that previous post . I will probably go back with the Centroid Products capacitance type sending unit ( almost impossible to fail)unit but I just wanted to see the possibiliy of using a universal unit .

EDIT - I found it

Howvever I still need to find teh ohm ranges ofr my 1994 F250 IDI original sending units

I know this has been discussed before, and some mistakenly/accidentally ended up with the wrong senders and they didn't work for them; but, I followed FELROs (or Felro86 or whatever it is) TECH article on replacing the sender with a $16 J.C.Whitney unit of the same ohms as our senders. ... -snip

The price of those Centroid Products capacitance fuel sending units depends on the mount, length, and whether 2 or 3 wire I think. You also need to know the ohm range of the original sending unit . I believe that price range is somewhere between $55-$100 depending on what you want . Call or email them .

Does anyone know where to find the resistance ranges for various years on factory sending units ?

what do those babies cost$$$$

And the winning numbers are...

a 78 to 10 ohm range, (at least on my 86)

Hope this helps, Let us know how these units work, mine are still lying to me, so it would be great to have something more bulletproof.
