I am doing a little search for a new FIPL on rockauto.com and I cross referenced the part number with any other vehicle that uses it....and I am kind of surprised..

Apparently the Lincoln Mark VIII (1993 - 1994), Mercury Lynx (1987) Ford ****** GL (1987 - 1988) ****** LX (1988 - 1990) and ****** Pony (1987 - 1990) are among several that used this part. I was under the ideals that there waere diesel only parts....:dunno

On another note, time to replace my FIPL...it's the ONLY thing I haven't replaced (even though it checks out with the multimeter) and it should be replaced!

Ford speak for throttle position sensor. Your findings are making me wonder though, is there any price difference?

That;s what I thought. The part numbers are identical, but if someone seen you coming in with a diesel F350...they may list the part as $60 for example, but if you told them it was for an ****** wagon, it may only be $30....cheaper car. Experiment time!!!

I thought they did not come until the powerstroke. I was unaware IDIs had one.
