I have a turbo from a 94 factory turbo idi that I am planning on rebuilding I got it apart and looked where the bearings ride on the turbine shaft and there are some NICs and scratch s on the wheel I'm not sure if its still use able? If not where can I get a good priced new one. Thank you

Here's the turbine and compressor:

Wow. In the last pic I see the fins are worn over so I'm thinking the blades rubbed the housing. Thats not a good thing at all. Your going to need a complete rebuild and balance done now. I think the two best places to do this work is two members we have on this forum. Typ4 aka Russ on Oregon or agnem aka Mell who owns Conestogat Diesel in Pa. anytime a turbine rubs it tells us the bearings are shot allowing the movement. Depending on how much damage is done will tell you what machining needs to be done. Be careful buying parts from ebay. Some of them are pure junk from China or other crappy makers. These two members have the respect for doing the right thing on repairs. They don't short you.
