Exploded vacuum Pump

Hey anyone ever had there vacuum pump crap out like this. I had to drive her home about 45 miles or so, from work it came apart just after i pulled out of my parking spot. Never made any noise,but it sure was hard to stop at the gaurd shack to sign out

Yea..Fred Flintstone has nuttin' on us when our vacum pump throws a 7

I have only physically seen 1 shelled like that...only it was on a serp belt IDI..

Good thing you were not in rush hr traffic....

Here's my last one that crapped out. It was leaking, provided minimal vacuum and squawked like a castrated chicken every time I shut it off.

I've seen a couple spit the bearings out but never seen one actually blow the housing apart.

Or course it is out of warrenty so I called up O'riely's said they had one for .10 cents more than everyohne else with a lifetime so I figure thats worth it
