okay my font end is going to need some work and i need tires before winter so i think now is a good time to do a dana 60 swap. I am looking at this one http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-Ford-F350-Dana-60-Front-SRW-354-Gears_W0QQitemZ250322821357QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories?hash=item250322821357&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&_trkparms=72%3A727%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318. Is this a good price it seems pretty complete. If i get this axle do i need anything else or it just bolt it? Will the springs from a 250 work with the solid axle?

That looks familiar!
haha
Anyway... Make sure he gives you the LH lower spring mount bracket. It is kinda a saddle deal that wraps around the diff. Other than that you'll need the sway bar frame brackets, unless you remove it and decide not to run it. I have the part number for those if you want them. They are FORD only.

And no, F250 springs are a big no no on a D60 axle. They are negatively arched for one thing, and secondly they tilt the axle to a different angle than is appropriate for a solid axle. Thats what my suspension shop told me when I did my 4x4 D60 conversion.

I used my f250 springs no problem. I just unbolted my IFS removed all things not needed and installed the dana 60. I bought some u-bolts and made my own spring plate out of 1/2" steel for top of the springs. Pretty simple swap, just real heavy.Make sure you get the track arm and bracket that bolts to the cross member. I had to make my own track bar and bought a drop bracket off of e-bay. Looks like a good deal right now for the axle. I would go for it.

Mike, I cant seem to find a pic of that bracket specifically. If its dry tomorrow I'll take one with it on the axle.

I did not recieve the saddle with my axle. Instead I flipped the u-bolts upward and made my own spring plates and welded my shock mounts on. But if you can get all the parts witht he axle it would be easier.
