Ok I know that a true jake brake is not an exaust brake. This being said I was wondering if you can put one on a 24V? I am in the prosses of getting a reman so I thought if it was posible that I would like to put one in before the engine is in the truck.
Any help is good help guys.
Oh and a NV5600 will be the tranny if that even matters.

Thanks

No.... the B-series and the C-series Cummins are not designed for Jake engine brakes.

Jakes arent found until the 11L and up engines.

As for an Jacobs Exhaust brake.... you would be good to go with a NV5600. Its the automatics (stock) that cant handle the exhaust brake too well. (with the exception of the '05 and up model year)
