Alright, it's time to flush out the system.

This is the first time I'll actually be servicing the system other then adding the SCA's/coolant from time to time.

I plan to do:

- the water pump (from IH)
- the thermostat (from IH)
- Upper/Lower rad hoses (from work)

From what I've gathered I should use fleetgaurd from NAPA (will be pre-charged with the addtive) and distilled water, is that correct? I think it was 4 gallons of each for total cooling capacity of 8 gallons.

Lemme know any personal experience you guys have or tips or anything!

Thanks for asking this question, I'm also about ready to fully service my cooling system as well, and wanted to be 100% on using 4gal Fleetguard & 4gal Distilled Water. BTW, where did you find the water pump and thermostat from IH? Is that something online orderable, or does it require a phone call for the parts? Thanks

IH part's come from an IH truck dealer they carry a lot of the 6.9-7.3 parts. I get my FleetGard from them also, good for 100,000 miles. Click on the Tech Articals then look for parts bin all the P/N are there like below. Use only that t'stat below.
